Man today is a good day for Digg.fx! We got a mention in the WordPress Podcast, so I want to say thank you to the WordPress Podcast team! Head over and listen to the podcast today!

I’m sure some of you have noticed that v1.5 has been released and now supports WordPress widgets! Visit the site to download the update.

1.5 Details

The next release of Digg.fx will be v1.5, a jump from v1.1. Why such a big jump? Well, it marks a big update in the Digg.fx plugin. Below is a list and further details on the update.

Widget Support: ‘Widgetized’ themes have been around for a while now. It allows users to easily add and arrange new items to their sidebar without having to do any PHP editing. Well, now Digg.fx is part of the widget family! You no longer have to edit your sidebar.php to add your Digg.fx plugin. Just drop it in and enter your username, that’s it!

Optimization: The data fetching hasn’t been too great, well now it’s a little faster! Though, not as fast as we want it to be.

More details will be released and discussed closer on release of 1.5, so be sure to keep your eyes on this blog!
